Simulating a Template
Execution Preview helps to simulate an existing Template (Private or Published). This feature enables the user to preview the Template when it is being developed.
Note
Unlike the Task Assignment feature which downloads all the data causing memory load, this feature enables the user to preview their execution any number of times without the actual data being downloaded.
To Simulate the Execution:
In the Template section Select the Template to be Simulated.
Click
to open the Property pane.
Select
Execution Preview.
From the Part Number- Configurator drop down list select the Part Number if it is applicable.
Select one or more configurations from drop down list.
Select an option from drop down list from the
.Click Start.
The Execution Preview displays the Template steps for Simulation.
Click Stop Job.
A message box is displayed to inform the user that the simulation has no effect on the system.
Note
Execution Preview allows simulation on Private and Published Templates. For real-time execution, Private Templates must be published. For more information on Template publishing, see publishing a Template.
