Stopping a Job

After all the Steps of the Task have been executed, the Task execution is Complete. The Task is completed by clicking, Stop Task or Stop on the execution page as shown below.

Depending on the Template Completion Mode, the Complete/Seal Task dialog box opens.

When the template Completion Mode is set as Standard, the Stop Task dialog box opens as shown below.

When the template Completion Mode is set as Cannot reopen once sealed, the Stop Task dialog box opens as shown below.

  • Pause Task.

    The Task is paused. Any User who has access to the Task can continue the Task.

  • Seal Task.

    A confirmation dialog appears to indicate that sealing a Task prevents any user from continuing the Task. The Task cannot be reopened for any modification or execution.

    The following confirmation dialog boxes appear before the Task is entirely Sealed.

  • (Pause &) Reassign

    Allows the user to Pause the task execution and Reassign it to another User or Queue.

    Select a Member or a Task Queue. Team members can be selected and comments can be entered if needed. Click Assign after all the details are provided.

  • Complete/Seal & Mark Task as done.

    Clicking the Complete/Seal & Mark Task as done, opens a dialog box to enter the comment(which is optional). Click Mark done to complete the Job or Click Cancel to continue execution.

  • Complete & Mark as done marks the task as Done but allow the User to Continue execution of the Task assigned at a later stage.

    Seal & Mark as done marks the task as Done but do not allow the User to Continue the execution as the Task assigned is Sealed.

Note

The Stopping Task dialog box also has the option to edit the Time Tracked during the execution. Please refer to Time Tracking for more details.
