Viewing Hits in Documentation Bundles

Before submitting a Documentation Bundle for screening, the Hits generated may be pre-screened. You can pre-screen the Hits that do not contain significant changes. These pre-screened tasks are not available in the Bundle Task.

By clicking the View Hits button in the page Documentation Bundles, you can view the Hits and pre-screen them.

The Impacts are presented in a table and can be viewed in either of the two tabs:

  1. Templates - The Impacted Templates are listed with the corresponding OEM changes.

  2. OEM Hits - Only the OEM Hits are listed. There are no references to Templates.

The following information is presented in the table:

  • Page Block: Displays the impacted Page Block or the Template Title.

  • Affected Area: Displays the impacted Task and Subtask number which is also called the Public Key.

  • Description: Displays the details of the modification.

  • OEM Chg: Displays the OEM change type.

    When a revision to an OEM manual occurs, there is an OEM Change Type indicator that indicates the type of change that has occurred.

  • FL Chg: Displays the FieldLogs change type.

    When a revision to an OEM manual is added to the system, FieldLogs checks the new Screening revision and computes a FieldLogs Change Type indicator for every Impact.

  • Status: Displays the status of the Hits.

    The following statuses are displayed:

    • Open: If the Impact is not checked or screened.

    • Pre-screened: If the Impacts are prescreened before being submitted to screening.

    • Screened: If the required action is taken and marked as screened.

    Note

    Custom statuses can be set using the Routing table.

  • Action: Displays the tasks that you can perform to complete the pre-screening of the Hits.

Impacts listed in the Templates tab can be sorted in two ways:

  • Sort by Template: View the OEM changes under each Impacted Template.

Pre-screening Actions on Hits

You need to perform the pre-screening actions on the Hits.

The pre-screening actions are grouped into the following categories:

  • Actions on Single Hit: You can verify the content and pre-screen a Hit.

  • Actions on Bulk Hits: You can perform mass pre-screening of one or more Hits.

For a single Impact, the following actions are available:

When one or more Impacts are selected, the action available is highlighted as shown below.

(Mass) Pre-Screen

The Pre-screen button allows you to perform a mass pre-screening of the selected Hits.

Caution

Mass pre-screening cannot be done if one or multiple Impacts selected are already pre-screened.

Other Options Available

Other options available are highlighted below.

  1. Sort the Hits using the following options available:

    • Status

    • Flag

    • OEM Change Type

    • OEM Hierarchy or Template

    • Functional Type

    Note

    The Sort by OEM Hierarchy or Template and Sort by Functional Type are only available in the section Templates.

  2. You can use the filters to narrow down the Impacts.

  3. Click CaretIcon.png to expand and collapse the entire list of Hits.

  4. In the information pop-up, you can view the details of the changes.

  5. Refresh RefreshIcon.png to view the updated content in the page.

  6. Use the maximize MaximizeButton.png icon to view the Impacts in a separate screen.

In this section:
