Adding a Nested Operation Plan Counter
The Nested Operation Plan Counter allows Operation Plans to be nested into another Operation Plan as shown below.

For example, if we have a Wing Maintenance and Multiple Actions Operation Plans, by using this counter type these two Operation Plans can be combined as a part of the Battery Inspection Operation Plan.
To add a Nested Operation Plan Counter type to an Operation Plan:
Click
in the dropdown list near the name of the Operation Plan as shown.A new Counter is created under the Operation Plan as shown below. It is given a generic name Counter Name as highlighted below.
Select the Counter Type as Nested Operation Plan from the dropdown list as shown below.
There are three tabs to configure the Counter. They are:
General Settings
Sub Operations Plans
Variables
On every Tab, there are three buttons
, and as seen below.Delete: Deletes the Counter.
Save: Commits all the changes done so far to the Counter.
Revert: Undoes all unsaved changes.
The current Operation Plan will contain the selected Sub Operations Plans at this counter.
On instantiating the Operation Plan, the nested Sub Operation Plan will also be instantiated and act like a Counter for activation/deactivation.
Select any number of Sub Operations Plans from the dropdown list.
In the below example, The Wing Maintenance and Multiple Actions are added to the Battery Inspection Operation Plan.

The Variables associated with the Sub Operations Plans are displayed.

Click Link to Variable to add the Operation Plan Variable to the Sub Operations Plans.

To link the variable, the Operation Plan must have the same type of Variable as in the Sub Operations Plans.
To create a Variable in the Sub Operations Plans, click Create a Variable.

Select the Variable type from the dropdown list as shown below.

Enter the following fields and click

The Operation Plan variable is linked to the Sub Operations Plans Variable.

On instantiating the Operation Plan, the nested Sub Operations Plans will also be instantiated and act like a Counter for activation/deactivation.
You can customize the name of the Counter in this section. Edit the placeholder text Counter Name to enter an appropriate name for your Counter.

The following fields can be configured:
Type: Select the Counter Type- Nested Operation Plan from the dropdown list.
Name: Enter a name for the Counter. You can also use the auto-naming option. The auto-name format can be configured using the options highlighted below.
In the following example, the Text Wing repairs have been used to create the auto naming format for the Counter.
Description: Description of the purpose of the Counter.
Maximum Task Created: This sets the maximum number of tasks that this Counter can create.
Functional Types: It is used only to visually highlight the Counter. It has no impact on the Tasks generated from the Operation Plan.
You can also use the Link to Variable option to link to a Functional Type Variable.
Mark as Favorite: This option enables you to bookmark a Counter.
A sample Counter with its fields set is shown below.

This counter can also be seen in Planning and Inbox when you select Visible from Planning.
If this option is selected, then the Tasks generated by this Counter are listed under the Counter in the Planning and Inbox sections.
In the below example, the Visible from Planning option is enabled on the Leakage Check counter.

The Tasks generated by the Leakage Check Counter are grouped under the counter name in the Inbox and Planning sections as seen below.

These Counters can also be marked as Favorite.
You can mark a Counter as a Favorite if you would like to re-use it in other Operation Plans.
Click the to mark the Counter as a Favorite as shown below.

The Counter is marked as a Favorite as indicated by the coloured star . Click to save the changes.

This Counter can now be re-used in other Operation Plans.
To re-use this Counter in a different Operation Plan:
Select
in the Operation Plan as shown below.The list of Counters that have been marked as Favorite are displayed.
Select the desired Counter to add to your Operation Plan and click
.The selected Counter is added to the Operation Plan.
A Counter can in turn have sub-counters as shown below. In the following example, by clicking

In the below example, Line Maintenance is the Operation Plan. The Minor repairs is a Counter level 1 which is created under the Line Maintenance Operation Plan. Tire changes is a Counter level 2 which is created under Minor changes. Troubleshooting is a Counter level 3 which is created under Tire changes .
