Raising a Flag on a Step - Web
A Flag is an indicator of an Event or an incident that occurs while executing a Job, either at the Task level or at the Step level of a Template. Refer to Creating a Flag for details.

A Flag displays the following information:
A Summary of the event.
The Severity Index of the event. A Severity Index can have 3 levels of severity: Info, Warning or Critical.
The CAR box: CAR stands for Cause, Action and Resolution. The letter turns bold depending on the selection.
In the above example, the flag has a Cause and an Action.
The User ID of that raised the Flag.
Note
A Flag can only be added to a Task that is under Execution.
To add a Flag on a Task or a Step during execution:
Select the Step to add a Flag to, as shown.
You can add a Flag in the following ways.
Click Raise a Flag from the contextual menu of the Step as shown.
Click the Flag icon
in the property pane as shown.
Click Add to Step or Add to Task as shown below.
Click Add to Step to add the Flag to the Step.
Click Add to Task To add a Flag to the Task.
Select a Flag dialog box opens.
Select a Flag from the category All Flags or the Flag Group.
Enter the details of the Flag.

.[Optional] Enter the Cause and Action. Entering this field will give clarity to the Flag raised.
Enter values for Flag attributes as shown below. Attributes are created during Flag creation.
The Datetime attribute can be set and reset as and when required.
To reset the
Datetime attribute, click the icon as shown below.
The DateTime attribute will be reset.

Click the
button, to populate the Datetime with the current system Datetime value.

button will be enabled only when the mandatory fields are filled.
The Flag is successfully raised during runtime.
Once the Flag is raised, the Flag icon will be visible on the Step. This icon will disappear if you resolve the Flag.
Important
Selecting the option Add to Task adds the Flag at the beginning of the Task and is visible in the section.
Selecting the option Add to Step adds the Flag under the Step and is visible in the section.
