Assigning a Template
You can assign a Template to another member or a Task Queue. The member to whom you assign the Template (the assignee) can view the Task in the Inbox and work on it. If you assign the Template to a Task Queue, any member in the Task Queue with the required permissions can pick up or run the Task.
While assigning the Template, you can specify the time frame for the completion of the Task, set the priority, and select the release package version that needs to be followed for the Template. You can also add team members who can assist in executing the Task.
To assign a Template:
On the main menu, go to
> .The Templates page is displayed.
Select the Template that you want to assign.
You may see an alternate UI for the Library Pane if it has been enabled on your Enterprise.
Note
Assigning a Template that is not published in your Enterprise may result in access rejection during execution.
Click the dropdown icon
to open the list of options on the Template.

You can assign any version of a published Template using the
tab.
To assign a version of the published Template:
Select the Template.
In the property pane, hover over the
icon. The list of tabs is displayed.
Click the tab
. The version history of the Template is displayed.
Select the version that you want to assign.
Click the dropdown icon
to open the list of options and then click .
Follow the steps given below.
The Assign Template window is displayed.
Add details in the following fields as needed:
Field
Description
Select Member or Task Queue
This is a required field.
From the dropdown list, select the member to whom or the Task Queue to which you want to assign the Template.
If you assign the Template to a Task Queue, any member in the Task Queue with the required permissions can pick up or run the Task.
Select Team Members
[Optional] From the dropdown list, select the team members who can assist in executing the Task. Each selected member can view the Task in the respective Inbox.
Additional Comment
Enter any additional comments as needed.
Job name
This is a required field. By default, it displays the Template name. You can modify the name.
Start date
Click
to open the calendar. Select the start date and time.
Clicking
in the calendar automatically selects the current date and time.
Date due
Click
to open the calendar. Select the due date and time for the Task.
Priority
From the dropdown list, select the priority level for the Task. The priority can be Urgent, High priority, Normal priority, or Low priority.
By default, 'Normal priority' is selected.
Release Package
[Optional] From the dropdown list, select the Release Package version that needs to be followed for the Task. For information on Release Packages, see Creating Release Packages.
Template Variables
This field is displayed if variables have been added to the Template. For information on Template variables, see Creating a Variable.
You can add or modify the details in this field.
