Using Standard Steps
For a Template author, Standard Steps are library steps. Standard Steps are meant to help standardizing Templates as well as easy in authoring for frequently used steps.
A
can be made of a single or multiple Steps, once defined it can be re-used any number of times in different Templates.When a Standard Step is inserted into a Template, a copy of it is used. It can be modified in the Template as required.

Note
Any changes to the saved Standard Steps will not be reflected in Templates where the Standard Steps were already used.
A particular Step(s) can be defined as a Standard Step.
Which can then be reused in any Template as Template Step(s).
To create a Standard Step:
On the main menu go to
, >Select the Template from the list of Templates in the Library Pane.
Go to Property Pane, Click
to view the entire list of tabs, then select Standard Steps.
Click
as in the Property Pane.If a single Step is selected
Enter the Name.
[Optional] Enter Description.
Click
.The Step is defined as Standard Step and a Unique Identifier is produced by the system.
Click
.If a container or multiple Steps is/are selected
A confirmation message is displayed.
If you want to save the entire structure as Standard Step, click
.If you want to save the single Step as a Standard Step, click
.
Standard Steps can be searched by Name, Id or Unique Identifier.
In the below example, the search returns all the results related to the Engine.

The search results can be sorted by Name or Id of the Standard Step using the Sort by dropdown shown below.

In the following example, search results are sorted by Id.

The search term must contain at least 3 chars.

Bookmarking a Step allows you to add frequently used Standard Steps as favourite for your account which eases the identification of your preferred Steps.
By clicking Bookmark Button it displays all the previously bookmarked Standard Steps.
To Bookmark an already created Standard Step:
Search the Standard Step in the Property Pane.
Click Bookmark Star near the Unique Identifier.
All the bookmarked Standard Steps can be displayed by clicking the Bookmark Icon adjacent Search bar.
Go to the Search bar in the property pane and search the Standard Step and click
.It displays all corresponding Standard Steps. Select one of the Standard Step you want to edit and click

You can edit Name or Description.

The modification is saved successfully.

To delete a Standard Step:
Go to the search bar in the Property pane and search the Standard Step.
Click
as shown below.A confirmation window is displayed.
Click
to permanently delete the Standard Step.The Standard Step is permanently deleted.
A Standard Step can be reused across Templates.
To reuse a Standard Step:
Open the
and select the point where the Standard Step need to be inserted.Search for the Standard Steps from the Property Pane.
Click
to expand the Steps.Select the Step to be copied.
Single Step
If the Step is to be added to the selected Template as a child Step, click on
(Step Number).If the Step is to be added after the selected Step in the next line, click
(Step Number).If the Step is to be added to the end of the template, then click
.(Step Number).Multi Step
A Standard Step can also be saved as a Parent-Child/Children combination.
Either the Parent alone or the child alone or both can be saved as Standard Step.
Note
The Standard Steps can only be added to a Private Template which support the Template edition.
Once the Standard Step is copied, it can be modified as required.
On the main menu, go to

It can also be accessed when we click
icon on the left.
It displays all the available Standard Steps created by the users across the enterprise and gives the detailed information.

Toggle or click
to view all the bookmarked Standard Steps.The Standard Steps which are displayed can be sorted by using the A-Z, Z-A, Newest and Oldest.
