Navigating through the application

For more information about the controls used in FieldLogs, read Controls.

The UI of the application is different depending on if you are on an iPad, an iPhone or an Android device. This documentation shows the UI on the iPad.

To collapse or expand the main menu, tap on the logo.

Note

From the main menu, you can access the templates of the enterprise, the history of your jobs and the ad-hoc section.

When you tap on a task in your Inbox, the contextual menu opens.

Options available when the task is not started:

Condition

Run Task

Run the job.

Assignee

Only if the user is the assignee of the task and it is the first time that the task is run.

View Template

View the template of the task.

This is the default option.

All members

Options available when the task is started:

Continue Task

Continue a job that is already started.

Assignee/team members

View Job

Show the data acquired in the job.

This is the default option.

Assigner/assignee

Edit Job

Open a menu to edit information about the job.

Options available in both cases:

Task Info

Open information on the task.

You can see the assigner, the assignee, the team members, the name of the project, the priority, the creation date, the start date, the due date, errors and release package info.

All members

Only if the task is in the inbox.

Refresh Task Status

Refresh the information of the task.

The following information is refreshed: title, description, status, dates, assigner and assignees, team members, job name, priority, project, release package, comment.

All members

Only if the task is in the inbox.

Force Data Sync

Refresh the definition of the task and force the data of the job to load again.

All members

Only if the task is in the inbox.

Locate Task

Show on a map the starting point of a task.

All members

Only if the task is in the inbox.

Share

Open a menu to share the task with other team members.

The team member who receives the task can view it.

All members

Only if the task is in the inbox and is started.

Edit Task

Open a menu to edit information about the task.

All members

Only if you have access to the planning or you are assigner or assignee and the task is not started.

Edit Team Member

Edit the users who have access to the task.

A dialog box opens. Select the team members to add to the task.

Click on Done.

Assigner/assignee

Mark as Done

Mark the task as done.

Assigner/assignee

Reassign

Assign the task to another team member or to another queue.

The selected team member becomes the assignee.

Assignee/team members

Except if the job is sealed.

Remove

Remove the task from the Inbox.

This action is available when the task is finished, or has an Error, or is shared with you.

The task is only removed from your inbox and is still in the inbox of the other users. It is not marked as done.

All members

Only if the task is shared or an info task or if you are the assignee or a team member and the task is done or in error.
