Importing an Object Model

You can import Object models when you want to transfer them from one Enterprise to another. The Object model file to be imported must be in .xml format.

After creating or importing an Object model, you can also import data. The data file to be imported must be in .csv format.

Data can also be added manually or imported in the section Enterprise > Data. For more information, see Adding Data to an Object.

Import Object Models

  1. On the main menu, go to Templates > Object_Submenu_Icon.png Object.

    The Objects page is displayed.

  2. Click Dropdown_next_to_New.png next to New to open the dropdown list.

  3. Select Import Objects.

    The Import dialog box opens.

  4. Click Choose file.

  5. Select the file that you want to import.

    Note

    You can select only one file to import. The file to be imported must be in .xml format.

  6. Click Submit.

    The Object model is successfully created from the xml file and is available in the Object model list.

Import Data into the Object

  1. On the main menu, go to Templates > Object_Submenu_Icon.png Object.

  2. In the Objects list, select the Object model.

  3. Click Plus_Sign_next_to_Object_Model.png that appears next to the Object model.

    A dropdown list opens.

  4. Select Import.

    The Import window appears.

  5. Click Choose file.

  6. Select the .csv file that you want to import.

  7. In the Separator char field, specify the separating character in the csv file.

  8. Click Submit.

    The data in the file is imported. You can view the data in the section Enterprise > Data.
