Screening the Hits in a Bundle Task

The Template Screener goes through each Hit in a Bundle Task and takes the required action.

Screening actions can be performed in both the Template and OEM Hits sections of a Bundle Task. The actions performed are highlighted below:

  • In the OEM Hits section, the modifications relevant to each OEM Hit is verified and the Hits are marked as Screened.

  • In the Template section, the impacted Templates are viewed and new versions of the Templates are initiated. They are then marked as Screened.

To perform the Screening actions, select a Bundle Task and click Pick up as shown below. This marks the Bundle Task as Picked up.

When you pick up the Bundle Task, the Submit and Release buttons appear. You can click on Submit when you complete the Screening. The Release button is used to cancel the pick up of the Bundle Task when you are not working on the Bundle Task.

Only when the Bundle Task is picked up, the Screening actions are enabled.

Performing Screening Actions on Individual Hits

To Screen a single OEM Hit:

  1. On the main menu, go to Enterprise > Documentation Bundles > OEM Revised Content.

  2. Select a Bundle Task. In the below example, the Aircraft Maintenance Manual Bundle Task is selected.

  3. Click Show Content on an OEM Hit, to view the changes.

    Based on the changes, you can also apply some Custom labels and/or add comments as shown below.

  4. After the required action is taken, click Screen to mark the OEM Hit as Screened.

To Screen a single Template Hit:

  1. In the Template section, select a Hit to perform the Screening actions.

    Note

    The Impacts in the Template section can be sorted into two categories: Templates and OEM Hierarchy.

  2. Click View to view the impacted Templates with the changes highlighted in yellow in a separate dialog.

    You can view all the information pertaining to the Template and the Steps in Read only mode.

    Note

    When you click the View in selection button, you are redirected to view the Template in the page Your Templates.

  3. Click Initiate to initiate a new version of the Template.

    If required, you can re-initiate a new version of the Template by clicking the Re-initiate button.

    Based on the changes, you can also apply some Custom labels and/or add comments as shown below.

  4. Click Screen to mark the Match Impact as Screened.

  5. When you complete the Screening actions, click Submit.

Actions on Bulk Hits

You can perform the following actions on a group of selected Hits:

  • Add mass comments

  • Mark them as Screened

To perform Screening Actions on bulk Hits:

  1. In the OEM Hits or Template section, select one or more Hits.

    You can also select the Select all checkbox to select all the Hits.

  2. Click Mass Comments to add comments on the Bulk Hits selected.

    The Impact Hits dialog appears.

  3. Add your comment in the text box.

  4. Click Save.

    The comment is added to the selected Hits as shown below.

  5. Click the mass Screen button to indicate all the selected Hits as Screened.

  6. Click Submit.

    The Bundle Task is now manually Screened and submitted.
