Using an Alternate Interface for the Library Pane
Note
You can choose to turn this alternate interface ON in the Enterprise settings. From the main menu, navigate to Enterprise > Organization > Enterprise Hierarchy > Settings > Profile to turn the interface ON.

The Library Pane can be divided into eight segments as shown below.

Filters: They are used to filter Templates based on five categories namely Suite/Package, Date, Component, Functional Types and PTC.
After the Filters are applied click
to search.

You can Filter Templates based on the following PTC Filters.
New: Click New to create a Template.
The custom actions dialog is displayed.
The values entered in the dialog box are reflected to appropriate fields in the Templates Information Editor.
Clicking
displays other options to create a new Template as shown below.
Search for Template: Type a keyword you want to search. The desired Template(s) are fetched. In the example below, the keyword Task is used.
Advanced Document Search: Click
to filter Templates based on criteria grouped into Metadata, IDs, PTC and Template under Edition.

You can choose to turn this advanced filter ON in the Enterprise settings. From the main menu, navigate to Enterprise > Organization > Enterprise Hierarchy > Settings > Profile > Use new Template UI advanced filters to turn the interface ON.
The indicator displays the number of filters selected. Templates will be filtered based on the selected criteria.
The corresponding Templates will be displayed.
Tabs: You can narrow down Templates based on four categories namely Published Templates, Bookmarks, Templates under Edition and Private Templates.
Published Templates: Templates that are published to an Enterprise.
Bookmarks: Allows quick access to a Template instead of having to browse to it or search for it.
Templates under Edition: Templates that are currently under Edition are displayed here. The current stage of the Lifecycle is displayed in the Lifecycle Stage column highlighted below.
The Lifecycle Stage names can be customized. In the example below, Custom is the original Task name and Validate the New version Document is the customized name given.
Private Templates: Templates that are under process or have not been published to an Enterprise.
Current search: The results of the Current search are listed here. You can view up to 500 Templates.
Click
to save a search.
Enter a name for your search in the dialog as shown below.
Click Confirm. The search is displayed under Saved search section.
Saved search: It is a collection of searches saved by a user. In the example below, saved searches are highlighted.
Recents: It displays a list of Templates that were searched recently.
Search queries can be edited and deleted.
Click
to Edit or Delete a Search.
To edit a saved search, click Edit. You can edit the following details.
Query name: Name of the saved Search Query.
Search parameters: Templates can be searched based on four parameters namely Metadata, IDs, PTC and Template under Edition.
In the example below, the highlighted Filters are selected.
Filters: They are used to filter Templates based on five categories namely Suite/Package, Date, Component, Functional Types and PTC.
The search queries are displayed based on the Filters applied.
The Library Pane can be resized using the icon or collapsed using the
icon.

In the example below, the Library Pane is collapsed.

The Template Name can be customized to include External ID or Free text.

To customize a Template name:
From the main menu, navigate to Enterprise > Organization > Enterprise Hierarchy > Settings > Profile > Custom Template display.
Click
to select an option by which you want the Template to be named.
Template alias: It is the name given when creating a Template. The Template alias values will be added to the Template name.
External ID: An ID used to refer to the Template by an external system. A Template title will have a custom value of an External ID for Templates created without one. A Template with an External ID will have its own External ID in place of a custom name.
Free text: A new title or keyword given to the Template.
In the example below, new values are set for External ID and Free text.
Multiple elements can be added and they can be repositioned.
Click Save and Close.
The Template is displayed with the new custom name.
